Kevin Veitch, a resident of Greenfield for 25 years, has a history of government experience spanning more than 33 years. It began with 11 years at the Saratoga Springs Housing Authority and transitioned into a 22-year-career as City Code Administrator. He has spent more than 20 years serving Greenfield’s Zoning Board of Appeals, Town Council and two terms as Town Supervisor. Presently, Veitch serves on many County committees, most notably the integral Law and Finance committee and the Airport committee, tasked with the building of a new county airport terminal.
Accomplishments so far include:

Overhauled Building & Code Department with new staffing and many new work processes. Continually looking for ways to implement more builder- and resident-friendly practices and technology.

Launched Greenfield Ambulance, the town’s first ever Emergency Service Department.

Embarked on a zoning and code update process for the first time in 15 years.

Commenced a project to build new multi-million dollar Community Center.

Completed a salary study to keep town pay competitive and created the first new employee handbook in 25 years.

Refined our budget process to include more detail and transparency.

Updated entire information technology infrastructure at all Town facilities to make it more efficient, secure and easier for residents to do business with government.

Oversaw improvements to Porter Corners Dog Park, Middle Grove Park and Brookhaven Golf Course and Winter Park including:

Expansion of Middle Grove Park. Coming soon: pickle ball courts.

Purchase of new grooming equipment and opening a new onsite winter ski rental store at Brookhaven Winter Park

Upgrades to landscaping and equipment, expansion of parking, new septic at Brookhaven

Upgrades and oversight for Porter Corners Dog Park

Maintenance and upgrades to historic caboose at Kings Park

Plan development is ongoing for public restroom, electric and water for Brookhaven

Created a public relations effort for the Town of Greenfield to build community pride and share information.

Began branding all materials across Town departments.

Introduced tagline “Greenfield: Better TOGether."

Developed a quarterly community newsletter that is mailed to every home; expanded social media presence; began a targeted email campaign to residents and businesses.

Developed a new website that features community events held by all organizations and businesses and develops news content daily to share public information.

Purchased a new digital sign to announce events outside Town Hall.

Developed a business directory and campaign to focus on TOG businesses.

Expanded Town events to include adults with things like TOG social hours (like a regular TOG “Hoedown”), golf and Nordic ski lessons, and a weekly summer farmers market.

Created a “welcome kit” that is mailed to all new Greenfield residents.
